Moderately salt tolerant plants tolerate some salt spray but grow best when protected by buildings, fences,or plantings of more salt tolerant species.

Maintain plants by watering soil frequently and rinsing the salt from foliage.Plant in a larger ceramic pot to allow the plant more soil and water storage. Underplant with salt tolerant flowering vine or plants to add color in same pot. Add mulch, moss, or decorative stones on top of soil.

If travel or seasonal residency occurs it is best to change plants out every couple of months, or hire a professional gardener to maintain the plants and flowers while you are away.
